Aloha coolbeanzcreative, User accounts cannot be deleted because WordPress.com doesn’t want somebody else using your name in the future. If you want to permanently get rid of your account, you can take the following steps:

    1. Empty all the content from your site:
      https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
    2. Delete your site following this guide:
Note: Deleting a site permanently removes it and this action cannot be undone. You will not be able to reuse the website address again in the future.

    3. Unsubscribe from any email notifications from WordPress.com:
Visit the your Subscription Settings page and click the box that says, Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com.
      https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions
    4. Remove all your information except the account name and email address. You can create an email address that you don’t use for anything to put in here; this will only leave your username.
      https://wordpress.com/me/account/
      https://wordpress.com/me/profile
    5. You can also change your username if you would like
      https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
    6. Visit the following site and generate a password 15-20 characters long:
      http://www.thebitmill.com/tools/password.html

Use the password you generated to reset your account password:
      https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password

This will leave your account inactive and prevent you from gaining access in the future.

    Alternatives to Deleting Your Account

    1. Change your username:
      https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
    2. Change your blog/site address:
Note: Once you change your address, you will not be able to reuse the old address again in the future.
      https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
    3. Change your privacy settings and set your blog/site as private:
      https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
    4. Clear your content and start your blog/site over:
Note: Emptying your site is permanent and this action cannot be undone.
      https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
    5. Delete your blog/site instead of your account:
Note: Deleting a site permanently removes it and this action cannot be undone. You will not be able to reuse the website address again in the future.
