Delete Account

Hi there,
Account deletion is not possible but you can deactivate your WordPress.COM account.
Although username accounts are not deleted, so you cannot be impersonated and have your reputation affected by anyone registering the same username in the future, there are steps you can take that amount to removing all personal information and result in leaving only a throwaway email address behind. http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

So how many years are you going to answer each request to DELETE an account at wordpress.com with some stupid workarounds and the same links over and over again instead of actually providing a way to DELETE MY ACCOUNT? Do NOT make any attempt at giving me (and us) some excuse that it is technically impossible for whatever reason. It is possible on every website I have an account on, except yours. This is just totally UNACCEPTABLE. I want to DELETE my account. This should require 2 to 3 clicks from within my account. Instead of that, I am supposed to enter fake info about me? A fake email address? AND delete my gravatar? AND what else can I do for you, dear WP, so that you DELETE MY ACCOUNT???

Even your (so helpful) links are misleading. They say “deleting-accounts” when there is NO WAY to delete your account. What about this forum? Can I delete my posts? No. You can’t. Everything you do at WordPress is set in stone. You have NO CONTROL over NOTHING. I created my first website in 1999 and users were able to ask for their account to be deleted. The system would send a link to the user by email and clicking that link would delete your account instantly. 10 seconds procedure. I just can’t believe you don’t provide such a BASIC option.
