Delete account

    If I were to close my account does that affect my domain name in any way.??
    If I decide to use it in future I will not have any problems?

    Are you referring to a custom domain name? Is it hosted here at WordPress.com? Or are you referring to the address displayed above?
    Closing this WordPress.com account will also mean deleting any WordPress.com upgrades and sites associated with it such as jdmurphy.wordpress.com. 30 days after closing that site the content on jdmurphy.wordpress.com will be deleted and the account username and site address will never be available for reuse.
