  Hi
  This is a very old account that I need deleted. I have no recollection of login details. I had to register in order to delete it.

  You will want to check out this page and fill out the Account Recovery form to regain access to the account:

  https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

  Once you have accessed the account, you’ll be able to close it, as per the guide that @mishkausa linked above.
