  I wish for you to delete my account. Your help pages said that this is not possible and that I should just leave the account idle. This is not acceptable. Please delete my account entirely on my behalf.

  This process is ridiculous.

  Instead of there being a button to delete an account I am dumped on to this forum.

  How do I contact the admins directly?

  There must be a way to delete an account. It is absurd for a website not offer a way to delete an account.

  In the UK it is in fact criminal to not offer a way for me to delete an account as per the Data Protection Act.

  @raincoaster Of course it’s possible! It’s a record in a database. If they can create an account they can blooming well delete one. WordPress.com just don’t let you do it because they’re dodgy.

  Whether or not it is acceptable or ridiculous, accounts here are not deleted. If you wish to bring criminal charges against WordPress and/or its staff, contact the police rather than posting in this forum.

  I have been here nine years and have never encountered a case where an account was deleted. You can keep posting here, but it will not affect the result.
