  If you would like to delete your WordPress.com site, there are options and instructions for doing so here:

  Delete a website

  Please bear in mind that once deleted, that site’s WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use. If you feel that you might need that URL again in the future, you might want to choose one of the other options listed on the the page linked above.

  At this point in time I am no longer anxious to delete the hearwat site. If it is still in place I will find it very useful. I only wished to delete it because it had the same email address as the newer site – hearlewatson. Now all I am interested in is to have hearlewatson designated a public site, which will be cited as hearlewatson.com. I have changed the email address that supports this site, and it has been confirmed. I paid the required $18.00. Is there anything else for me to do or will it now be designated a public site, to wit hearlewatson.com?

  I am seeing http://hearlewatson.com/ point to your WordPress.com site and I am seeing that site as public. So it appears to be all set up the way you want.
