Delete account?

  Hi,

  Is it possible to delete my WordPress-account permanently? I’m not using this service, and would like to delete it. But I can’t find a way to do it. So, please. Is there any admin who can permanently delete my account?

  accounts are forever – but you can delete all your info except for an email address from the account

  Hello,

  We set up this blog while travelling the world for 8 months. We have since returned home and will not be renewing our subscription. Before deleting the account we were wondering if WordPress offered a service to provide us with all our blogs, posts, photos, etc. Either electronically or an album (hardcopy?). Basically we want our info before deleting the page – are there options?

  @carleetobie – While you can download an export file of your site which will include all your posts/pages/comments/tags/categories, you will have to retrieve each and every image file manually. There’s no way to download them in bulk. https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

  But you don’t need to delete your site; just change the site’s visibility settings to Private. It will effectively be unavailable to anyone but you (unless you invite someone to view it). It will also be kept out of search engines. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
