Delete Account

  I want to delete my account however when I followed the all given instruction yet there was not a delete button for me to click on at the bottom of my Settings screen. Please let me know if there’s another way. Thank you.

  Hi @shawnalacey,

  You cannot delete a WordPress.com account for good – which is why you didn’t see any ‘delete’ button. However, you can empty it out from all your data and leave it inactive.
  Here are the steps to make sure that any of your personal data can’t be fetched once you decide to leave WordPress:

  – Empty your site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
  – Delete your site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
  – Remove all personal information from your account settings: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-settings/
  – Change your password to a random string: https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
