  why is it that we cannot delete the account?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Good Morning – User accounts are not ‘deleted’ to help prevent someone from impersonating you in the future. Each user account is totally unique. If your user account was deleted, someone else could then register it and pretend to be you.

  You may inactivate your account and unsubscribe from all WordPress.com emails by following the steps outlined here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
