Delete account and website

    I tried to follow instructions to delete my website and account and could not locate the menu for doing so. I want this account taken down as it is out of date.

    Hi there,

    What is the URL for the site you’re referring to?

    With WordPress.com, however, following the instructions at Account Settings (https://wordpress.com/me/account), you can permanently close your WordPress.com account.

    You can find more information here:
    https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/

    If you have an active WordPress.com plan or upgrade, you must cancel these purchases before your account can be closed.

    Please Note – You will lose all the sites you own and their contents when you close your account. Within a few weeks, the data will be removed entirely from the system, and at this point, this cannot be undone.
