delete account or help me please

I just figured out that I cannot delete my account. In fact I wanted to do it because you do not permit me to change the username and I can’t be online with the wrong name! I’ve tried following instruction but you say me the name is already in use, actually it is in use but that’s me! What can I do? giorgiacarena is my name and immaginidalsilenzio is the name of my book

Would you mind clarifying a little about what exactly you want to “delete”? Are you wanting to completely delete your account or change your username?
By the way, you cannot delete your wordpress.com account. You can delete your blog that is on your account although.

hello, I am supposed to be giorgiacarena.wordpress.com but I’m immaginidalsilenzio.wordpress.com and the system do not let me change the name. This is the problem, so I thought to delete the account and create a new one, but It’s not possible. So what can i do?

But you can! WordPress WILL let you change your blog address (URL). It’s not necessary to create a new account. By the way, WordPress will not let you “delete” an account anyway.

I understand what you say but they do not accept my name giorgiacarena! And I can’t understand why… I’ve already tried to change it but they answer the name is already in use… and It’s not true. I’ve never use it and I search on google the address does not exist!

I need to apologize. I got mixed up. Based on what @timethief said, on July 13th, 2013 you created two accounts. WordPress will not let you change the blog address because as it says, the name is already taken. You took it on July 13, 2013 when, as you said, made a mistake during registration and registered two accounts. Don’t worry though, you have possession and control of the one you need.
Just go to http://giorgiacarena.wordpress.com/wp-admin and login.
You can disregard the other account if you don’t need or want it. Or, you can import your content to giorgiacarena.wordpress.com using the instructions on the following page.

When I tried to visit giorgiacarena.wordpress.com I came to a page that said the authors had deleted this blog. Unfortunately once you delete a blog there is no way you can get it back.

If you must have that address name, you can keep it very close to the same and only add a single letter or number somewhere in the address.

Two years ago, you changed the username on your account from giorgiacarena to immaginidalsilenzio. When you change a username, the previous username (giorgiacarena in this case) is discarded. You will not be able to change back to that previous username. You can read more about this here:

Unfortunately I have to create my own site for work and I really need my name. I’m sorry I did a bad mistake like that, but I f I can’t imagine the reason why I can’t have back my name…
Any way I do like wordpress so much and wanted to be premium but if I can’t get back my name, I have to go.

Hi Giorgia,
I’m afraid you will not be able to use this username again. Keep in mind that although you cannot use the username again, you can still set your display name to Giorgia Carena. That will be what users see when you comment on their sites and what is displayed in your author bylines. Would that work?
