Delete account with content that hurt our business
-
Hi,
We run a brand called Denim Is Dead and there is a old blog post which is hosted on a WP account : [redacted by staff]
Those pictures hurt our business and the account is not even active. Is there a way it can be deleted?
Thanks,
Carl-Michael Sjoberg

Hi There,
I think your best approach in this case and given the content on the site, would be to report the blog with this information you have provided so that it can be reviewed and possibly removed.
Here is a support page that can help you with this process:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/
Hope this helps!
Thanks -
Hi Carl-Michael,
There are two ways you can report a WordPress.com site:
1. If you are logged into your WordPress.com account, you can report a site by clicking the three dots to the right of the “Follow” link in the bottom right corner of the screen, and you’ll see ‘Report this content’.
2. You can also use this form to report content to WordPress.com staff:
https://en.wordpress.com/abuse/
There is more information about this process on our Report a Site documentation:
Please come back to me if you have any questions.

Hi gemmacevans and jenlynnemc,
Thank you very much for this information, we did a report of the content and I hope we get that post or page down. Problem is that we are doing a re launch of our brand this fall and most of our new accounts do a “google” on our brand and this post keep coming up and we had several shops and buyers getting back to us not wanting to appoint meetings for upcoming season due to the pictures.
Hope someone can help us.
Thanks and have a great evening!

Hi there,
I’ve gone ahead and removed that link from the thread as I don’t think other forum users need to see that :)
As we cannot assist with Terms of Service matters in the forums I’m also closing this thread. The TOS team will review your report, so please wait for a reply from them.
Also be aware that even if that content is taken down it can still appear in Google search results for some time as Google caches webpages and can display cached content in search results even after the content has been removed. We have no control over that, so you’ll need to contact Google to request removal of the content from their cache. They usually only do that if a site owner is contacting them, though, so you might still need to live with this for some time.
