  Hi,

  You can change any user’s role by following this guideline: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

  The above guideline also shows how to remove a user’s account on a WordPress.com blog. Remember, before deleting a user’s account, WordPress will provide you option to assign/attribute that “to be deleted” user’s works to another current user. You can assign those contents to another existing user. Also you can delete his works if you wish.

  As an Administrator of a blog, you can remove other users from your site by following these steps:

  Head to Users → All Users in your dashboard.
  Move your cursor over the username you wish to remove, then click Remove.

  If you need to remove multiple users from your blog, select each username you’d like to remove using the checkboxes. Then, from the Bulk Actions drop down, select Remove, and click Apply.

  However, here is no mention whether it will ask for attribution to other users. But I found attribution in WordPress.org blogs, so I think WordPress.com might also offer this option.

  Please be careful before removing anything. Take each step carefully.
