Delete All Categories

  Hey, I need to delete and rebuild all categories, and I’d prefer to have an automation tool so that it doesn’t take 6 months to complete…

  Any ideas?

  You’re asking in the WordPress.com support forum whilst your site is hosted by HostGator and will be using the WordPress.org software. Here we have a bulk actions button in the wp-admin dashboard for deleting categories but all that does is change the category name from the deleted one to whatever was set as the default category. There is probably a similar tool in your dashboard too. But as for “delete and rebuild all categories” if you don’t want to do that one by one you’ll have to check with the WordPress.org support forum to find out if there is an appropriate plugin you could use.
