Delete an account

  I have two accounts and I’d like to either have one or neither.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  There is no way to delete a WordPress account once created.
  You can instead leave your account inactive by following this:

  1) Delete Site linked to your account
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  Note:
  Once you delete your site you can’t have the same domain name. Read the link below before doing so.
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
  You can instead empty your site
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

  2) Change your password to random string and leave the account inactive.

  3) Change email address under Account Settings. This will help in creating another WordPress account in future with same email id as every WordPress account is linked to unique email id.

  Thank you. Interesting…not being able to delete AND not being able to use the same name. It works when you are not the same person, but when you are…how inconvenient.
  I thank you for your response and for sharing the information necessary to carry out my goals.

  So…I will pursue retrieval of my original account and change the login info. Is that possible? Change the login email?
