delete an old Blog.com site
-
Hello! I created a site for a club I’m in on Blog.com in 2009. After a while I just lost steam and quit updating it. However, some people in my club told me the site is still running so I googled it and it came up as a WordPress site at https://haakoncountylibrary.wordpress.com/ (so I gather Blog.com got absorbed by WordPress?) I had my old username and password so I logged in to WordPress, but the club’s site is not on my WordPress account, so I am unable to take down the defunct site. SO now I need to know how to take down a WordPress site that I can’t log in to. Can anyone help?

Hi,
(so I gather Blog.com got absorbed by WordPress?)
No, “Blog.com” is not related to WordPress.com.
I had my old username and password so I logged in to WordPress, but the club’s site is not on my WordPress account…
The site https://haakoncountylibrary.wordpress.com/ evidently has just one published post that was published in 2009 and authored by “haakonlibrary.” That would likely be the username of the account as well. If the username “haakonlibrary” belongs to an account of yours, then you may access the account with the corresponding password, or with two-step authentication if applicable.

If you’re missing any of the required information for accessing the account, then see the Account Recovery support page.
