Delete an old site without password..
-
I have an old site that I want to delete, but I cant.
I do not remember my username, it does not have my regular mail and I cant access it in any other fashion.
What can I do?

If you can’t remember your login details for the account that owns that site, the only other way to regain access is via our account recovery process:
-
But I do remember. And I still have the same e-mail and phonenumber.
But when I get logged in, the sites is not there. The reason is probably because both sites were started 2012, before the “wordpress.com”-login even existed.
All I want is to delete these sites.
-
And I cant use the Account Recovery (https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#sms-recovery-withtwo-step-authentication) as I dont have any proof of ID, even though I still have the same e-mail and phonenumber.
-
A two-factor code would be great, but as I cant access the site where I could start it up, Iǘe got no way to proove my ID… Catch22

Hi there,
But I do remember. And I still have the same e-mail and phonenumber.
You originally said that you don’t remember that account’s username and that you didn’t use your regular email. Also, WordPress.com accounts cannot share the same email address.
What I suggest doing is entering all the email accounts you have access to into the password reset tool (https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword) and see if you receive a reset email.
Please note that you’re already logged in with the @caijan username and the email address associated with it is the one found here:
https://wordpress.com/me/account
So, don’t use that email in the password reset form.
-
OK, i have tried. No response on any other mail I could think of.
I do not remember the username, but I am using my e-mail without success.
Is there no other way to just delete the websites?
Regards

If you aren’t able to provide any of the information needed for proof of ownership, then we won’t be able to help you recover access to the account and subsequently delete those sites.
We have a strict policy in place to protect our users from third parties who might try to use our support system to gain access to other users’ accounts.
-
I understand this completely.
But the site starts with “My name is Cai….” and that should be no issue then.
Or would you be able to send a verification SMS on the registered phonenumber? If so, it would be easy.
Or any e-mail.
I need to get rid of these sites, they have fulfilled their purpose. Both sites are from 2012….
-
And the site has my phonenumber registered? So if you could manage to send a verification code on the registered number, then it would not be a problem at all?
-
And at the site, my e-mail is presented: cai (at) jussila.nu
so this might be an exception to the policies. It should be obvious . even though it is in Swedish! – that it is my site.
-
I have already explained what’s needed to recover access to that account. We cannot accept any other proof of ownership, send you an SMS message, or make an exception.
I have sent an email to the address associated with that account. Check all the email accounts you have access to. In that email, there’s information on how to recover access to the account.
-
OK. Got no mail at any of those accounts I am using.
Only option left is that the recoverymail was sent to cai at humidor.nu or cai at kioskpiraten.se, but both of these are no longer in use, so I cant receive it.
But there is a lot of “proof of ownership” nevertheless:
* The page has not been touch since 2012
* The page, link “Om mig” is my name
* The page, link “Om mig” has my e-mail
* The page, link “Om mig” has my phonenumber
* The recoverymail sent by you was probably to either one of the mentioned
* I contacted WordPress 2017 in this very specific issue, to get both of these sites deleted, but ran into same problem as nowWhen I tried all the e-mails I had, I DID get a respons on recovery, and it made me happy until I logged in, but it was a site I didnt even remember that I had ( https://textarna.wordpress.com/) At least I deleted that one.
Is there anything else we can do? Or do I need to let these webpages be there for the rest of my life?
Isnt there at least a “maximum” years of untouched that might help me?
I need to get them deleted.
Regards
CaiBut the page has been untouched since 2012 and it is my info on the page

We can only accept the proofs of ownership listed at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
-
So I need a court order to delete a website that belongs to me?
Sounds rather harsh.
Is this the only possibility left, cause I need to take them down.

Many of my reolies includes my private phone and e-mail, so would it be possible to edit out at least that and maybe even the URLs?

Since you are unable to fill out the account recovery form, you can reach out to the account recovery team via
passwordhelp@wordpress.com, and they can further look into account recovery for you. Thanks,
