Delete and start anew. Don't want to be Dick Charron want Richard Charron

Here is my situation and I have tried in vain to fix it on my own. When I first started I wanted to be called Dick Charron on this site. I have since then written a book with my actual name which is Richard Charron. I have been successful in changing some of the log ins , email etc. but not everything. For instance my blog is still listed as Dick Charron. I wish to make everything uniform and change everything to Richard Charron and pretend that Dick Charron does not now or ever did exist. How can I accomplish this. I’m afraid that if I completely delete this account and then try to reregister as Richard Charron I will be blocked because it will say that someone else already has that name. Can you help me start all over again?

Since the user name you want already exists you are out of luck getting that account name or blog name – you can change your displayed name somewhere in the Dashboard if you want

The problem is the existing user name is also mine. I guess the solution is to just delete both accounts and just forger word press. This is all to confusing for me.

If the existing account is yours then just log into it and start using it

What I want to do is change the username. Everything else is perfect. If I can’t do that I will have to re-enter everything under the new user name and what? delete the old? make it inactive? Seems like a lot of work just to change a username.
