I own aronetics.com and any TLD derivatives. How does deleting aronetics.wordpress.com make aronetics.wordpress.com permanently unavailable in the future? That confuses me.

Your ownership of aronetics.com has nothing to do with your deletion of the said WordPress.com site. aronetics.com does not seemt o be hosted on WordPress.com and is hosted elsewhere.
Deleting a WordPress.com site
If you wish to delete your WordPress.com site https://aronetics.wordpress.com/, you will have to remove these upgrades (if you own any) first: Premium or Business Plan, Custom Domain, Domain Mapping, Premium Theme, or any other upgrade.
When you are done doing this, visit this page and click on the “Delete your site permanently” button at the bottom. Follow the on-screen instructions to delete your WordPress.com site.

@jgaroot we don’t allow names of deleted sites to be re-used right away. They are deactivated instead.
If you want to clear the content instead, we can do that. You can also make the site private so no one but you can access it. If you want to use the name again at some point, though, do not delete the site name.
