Delete backup files, backup of blog to pc, alfabetic list of articles

1. Is it possible to delete backup files without any plugin og sql? If not, will WP get this feature in the future? Backup files take much space now. I have to delete articles and restore their backup to get rid of older versions of the articles.
2. I would like to get a backup of the whole blog. The function that makes this seems to make only a list for copying content to an other site. I will like to have this copy on my pc. Can this be done? If not, will WP get this feature in the future?
3. I would like hto have an alfabetic list of articles in addition to the categodry subdivision. How can this be done? If it not can be done, will WP get this feature in the future?
