delete blog

I want to delete my blog but there is no option to do this in tools, as it says – I am not the only admin member so don’t know if this is why

I have left the blog now which seemed an easier option – although the award it was in aid of has been given and so it is no longer used. They do make it very difficult to delete anything on this site and I think the not letting users delete their account is disgusting – I also think when other members have expressed this sentiment quite rightly that some users have reacted inappropriately and negatively. I’ll refrain from naming names – it’s obvious who anyway – but I agree with those who say it is a basic human right. Get it sorted WordPress, I don’t know what you’re playing at!

Are you the original owner of the blog? That might be the cause. (Confirmation, anyone?)
If that’s the case, the owner should delete it, or transfer ownership to you so you can delete it: Transferring your blog
If you’d like to hide the site while you straighten out whether/how to delete it (remember, deletion means you use the content AND the url forever), I recommend making it private: Privacy Settings
FYI, you could also empty the site and keep it private to avoid having to delete: Empty Site
