delete blog name on account, have more than one & only need one

    Hi there!

    So I am on a wordpress for dummies level here and had originally bought my domain name from godaddy.com. I just mapped this original domain name, which is now my primary one (lindseypelissier.com) to the wordpress.com site.

    1) I was trying to map this before and made a mistake and accidentally created this second blog name, which is comically coming up as lindseypelissierdotcom.com (I mean seriously). I simply want this deleted.

    2) My domain/primary name is what comes up when searched, correct? http://www.lindseypelissier.com is what I want visible to readers, and to my understanding, lindseypelissier.wordpress.com will be visible to me on my dashboard when i edit/post etc? Just want to be sure lindseypelissier.com and lindseypelissier.wordpress.com are one and the same.

    Here is how to delete the blog you are not using or make it private for future use.

    All blogs are independent websites so what you do one one has no effects on any others. To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

    Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

    Alternatively, to change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

    At present, your custom domain, lindseypelissier.com, is associated with your WordPress.com site, lindseypelissier.wordpress.com, where your content is actually hosted.

    You will only see lindseypelissier.wordpress.com when you’re administering your site.
