Delete Blog To Change UserName?

    When I created my blog I chose a user name without really thinking about it. The problem is, I don’t want the user name that I chose to appear as the author of my posts, or anywhere else in my blog.

    Question One of Two: Can I change what name appears as the Author of my posts?

    Question Two of Two: If I can’t change what name appears as Author of my posts, can I delete my blog, then create another blog with the same name as my current blog, only with a different user name, or will the current blog name stay in the wordpress data base preventing me from starting a new blog of the same name?

    I imagine I would have to open a new account also, if I can delete the current blog, then create another with the same name, but I may be getting ahead of myself.

    1. Users > My Profile: type the name you prefer in the field “Display name publicly as”, click Update Profile. (The only public place where your original username will keep on showing up is this forum.)

    2. No, you cannot create another blog with the same name in its address.
