Delete blog to free up blog name

  I want to free up a blog name that I had registered for a community festival under my account. However, I want to give up control of that blog and set up another account to manage that blog but the blog name has already been taken (by me!). How should I go about this?

  Do not delete anything, because that doesn’t “free up” the name, it deletes it completely, forever. Just set up the other username and Invite that username to be an administrator of that blog, and withdraw your first username.
