Delete blogs but keep account

    Hello,

    I want to delete the blogs fishyfashions (fishyfashions.wordpress.com) and payments (fishyfashionpayments.wordpress.com), but keep my account do I can create new blogs at anavonr.wordpress.com

    Can this be done, please?

    Let me know if there are any problems, and please just make sure I still have anavonr.wordpress.com after

    Yes, it is possible, but be completely certain you want to actually delete the sites because once deleted those addresses can never be used again. I would strongly recommend instead that you make the blogs private and/or delete the contents but not the actual blogs. If there’s even the slightest chance you might someday want to use those blog addresses again you should not delete the blogs themselves. I’ve seen enough people come back here wanting to use an address they’ve deleted, sometimes years later, but unfortunately deleting the blog itself cannot be undone and they are out of luck. If you’re certain you want to delete those blogs, the instructions are here and it is a relatively simple 5-step process. You will need to go through the process for each blog you want to delete; just be very careful that you don’t delete the blog you want to keep! :-)

    I used a one step process to delete 2 blogs recently. Yes can not get them back. Neither can anyone else, apparently.

    Deleting blogs has no impact on username accounts, which cannot be deleted. http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

    All blogs are independent websites so what you do one one has no effects on any others. To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

    Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

    Alternatively, to change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
