  Hi, can you please advice how do I delete my categories? Haven’t been able to find a way to do so. Thanks

  The option to delete categories is not yet added to the new dashboard, but you can still access the old dashboard.

  The Admin login link to the dashboard is:
  http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  Then navigate to Posts –> categories and you can delete, rename and create categories.
