Hi @joejuliano, do you mean delete the notification? Or did you want to get rid of the comment on your site, using the notification bell? I’m not sure whether either is possible, but if you’ll clarify what you’re hoping to do we can try to point you in the right direction.

I want to delete the comments after reading them. There is a All, unread, comments, follows and likes.
After I have read the COMMENTS I would like to delete them HERE, these comments do not appear on the web site and I can deal with those/- this is new/ different and learning.
Thank you for your help— if deletion is not possible/- lol, so be it.

I don’t know where I found the list, but it was FOLLOWERS, and I deleted each from the dashboard somehow. Not simple this WordPress. But I am determined to accomplish.
Thank you for your patience and the input from the forum which I’m lost with out.

I take that back, I didn’t find the correct place in the reader version. I wish I could post a screen shot to show you what I mean at https://wordpress.com/me/notifications,
under the bell under COMMENTS, there are lists from one person over and over again. Before I opt for the upgrade I need to have more information to make this a positive effective way to display my writing.
A new Web version, a new mobile version, very confusing.
thanks for trying to help I wait for and answerjoejuliano

Hi again joejuliano, so if someone follows your site, you want to delete them so they can’t follow anymore? And if someone comments, you want to delete their comment after reading it, so it won’t appear on your site? We wouldn’t recommend that, so the notification system is not set up that way.
The way it’s meant to work: all of your newest notifications appear in a list under the notification bell. Since the newest always appear first, the list refreshes itself. You wouldn’t be able to delete the notification itself, but when you read them, they should be marked as read.
