  How do I delete a post (this one!) in these forums? Didn’t realize I was writing to a forum rather than to Support.

  Hi there,

  You can’t delete the forum post by yourself.

  You could click on “member” below your username here and locate the thread. Then you can post to it asking a Staff to delete it.

  A link to your public WordPress.com site is not personal information, and not grounds for deleting the thread.

  As a free account holder, these public forums are also the only support option available to you.

  As the total content on your site only consists of two pages, you can easily empty it yourself by deleting those pages at My Site ->Pages.
