Delete data
-
Hi. I’ve recently removed a self-hosted site connected via Jetpack. But the site still appears here. Can someone please let me know how to completely delete all data from a disconnected site? Thanks.

Thanks. But what I asked was “Can someone please let me know how to completely delete all data from a disconnected site?” In other words, once a site is disconnected, how can I ensure its posts are also removed from wordpress.com?
A related question. If I remove a post from the self-hosted site (still connected), how do I remove it from wordpress.com?

Then why does this still appear here after I removed it from the site?

If you remove content from your self-hosted site it will be also removed from WordPress.com – we do not host your content, it’s just connected via Jetpack.
If you need help disconnecting the site, let us know it’s URL, we can help with that.

Please look at this link. https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/94312585/posts/2516428931
It shows a post I removed from my site. Why?
I am in the midst of revising many posts and I don’t want them appearing in wordpress.com.
-
Oh okay, I didn’t realize you were talking about the Reader.
When have you removed the post in question? -
Perhaps this is my mistake. I placed the post in draft mode pending revision. It was a while ago (not sure exactly when, sorry). Should I delete it completely?
-
So, I see what you are saying. Despite the site being unavailable when I click on the post, it is still in the Reader:

That is because
mindmuser.comwas reconnected to WordPress.com via Jetpack on 5/2 and it does not look like the feed has refreshed since you put the post in draft mode. What I can do is clear the feed which should clear that post from the Reader. Please confirm you would like for me to do that and I’ll clear the feed for you. Thanks,
-
Ah, I see. Yes, please refresh the feed.
Is there a way I can do this in the future to save you the trouble? It’s possible I will be updating things like publishing dates and some of the content.
Thanks very much. My apologies if I’ve caused extra work.
-
No extra work at all. The feed usually refreshes periodically – not sure why it hasn’t yet here. I refreshed the feed and no longer see the post in the Reader from my end. Please let me know if you see the same thing on your end.
Thanks,
-
Looks good now. Thanks very much for your help.
I’m curious – how often does the feed refresh?
-
You’re welcome! The feed refreshes immediately once a new post is published, but otherwise at least once daily.
