Delete Domain Name Before Registration Expires

How can one go from WordPress.COM to WordPress.ORG? I just want to be able to have the same domain and being able to install downloaded themes.
My 2-day refund policy ends today so I want to be able to resolve this before I made any further decision.
Thanks.

joem87, I have cancelled your domain as requested.
aynurphotography, I don’t see any recent purchases on your account, just a domain purchased in November of last year, which is well-beyond the 48-hour refund period.
kristinabustos, If you’re interested, we do offer an upgrade called Guided Transfer (available in the Store section of your blog’s Dashboard) where we take care of everything for you: http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
Otherwise, you’ll need to install WordPress from http://wordpress.org/ on a hosting provider. We have some recommendations at http://get.wp.com/hosting/
Then, direct your domain to your hosting provider by changing your nameservers: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#update-nameservers
Once that’s done, you can move your content following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/WordPress.org has complete support and documentation sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress at:
http://wordpress.org/support/
http://codex.wordpress.org/We do offer yearly and one-time premium support packages for self-hosted WordPress sites through our VIP program, available at http://vip.wordpress.com

Folks, if you need to cancel your domain and are still within the 48-hour refund period, please go to Store > Domains in your dashboard. Locate the domain you want to cancel in the list, and click on the Cancel button next to it.
If this does not work for you, or you have a separate issue, please start a new thread.

Thank you so much the information. After I looked into your suggestions and I called a hosting website for information, I think it I want to keep is as simple as possible as I’m not technically skilled at this. The thing I like about WordPress.com is that it takes care of everything for me (spamming, back up, etc.), especially since I’m a beginner in all this.
I think once I can solve the theme and username issue it’ll be smooth sailing from here.
Should I start new thread for my issues or should I just keep discussing in this thread?
Also I just put in my request for cancellation via Store in my dashboard, and so I’m hoping that my questions will be answered before that cancellation goes through in case I do want to keep my domain. Thank you so much for your help!

I closed out your cancellation request, so you won’t have to worry about that.
As for other issues, please start a new thread so everything can stay organized.

I have canceled and refunded your domain as requested.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

If we cancel the domain, it can take up to several weeks, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again once canceled.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it.
Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

If you don’t want this domain at all, you can cancel it for a full refund if you purchased it within the last two days.
To cancel the domain, go to Store > Domains in your dashboard. Locate the domain you want to cancel in the list, and click on the Cancel button next to it.
This cannot be undone, so please follow the on-screen instructions carefully before you confirm the cancellation.
