Delete Domain Registration

  Hello,

  I am moving the registration of my domain name from WordPress to GoDaddy, and will be hosting the entire website elsewhere (Squarespace). I have followed all of the steps to transfer the domain to another registrar (listed here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/), and have made the necessary changes to the DNS entries at my GoDaddy hosting.

  The problem is that when I enter the URL into my browser (http://www.robertbkent.com), I am still taken to my WordPress site (http://robertkentphotography.wordpress.com). Is there anything further I need to do on the WordPress end to make sure that my URL is no longer pointing to WordPress, such as delete the domain registration from WordPress?

  Howdy,

  Your domain appears to be transferred at this time.

  Keep in mind it may take a few hours for domain changes to take full effect.
