“Delete existing home” page not working

  Hello –

  I’m trying to find a way to set up a new “home” page called “Welcome.” I’ve read the past posts regarding how to delete the existing home page, renumbering pages, etc. I have another blog where I was able to do this successfully – however, since the new dashboard upgrade was activated the directions for deleting a duplicate home page no longer appear in the “help” files.

  Is this a dashboard issue? Have the directions changed?

  Am I missing something?

  If the theme you’re using has a built-in Home tab, you can’t remove it: you can make “Welcome” a child page, so that it won’t show in the header. Or else you can switch to a theme with no built-in Home tab.
