  I have a free website with you. I want to delete it. I want to do a new website with a domain name I already own.
  How can I delete the free website?
  How can I try making a web site to see if I like the set up program?
  Will my website have wordpress in the name of the site or is it a straight my name.com?

  Surely you can use the free site to do just that? If you upgrade the free site to a paid plan you could transfer or map your existing domain to that site:
