Delete Jetpack plugin
-
Hi,
My mobile theme isn’t working and everything I’ve read says to delete the Jetpack plugin. But when I went to do so, my WordPress won’t let me. It says active, but there’s no deactivate or uninstall option. How do I get rid of it?

Hi there,
What is the site you are trying to disconnect from Jetpack? Our support page provides a guide on how to remove self-hosted WordPress site from your WordPress.com account:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/
If you have any questions or trouble with the disconnection, let me know, and I’d be happy to assist.
Cheers,

When I click on settings, there is no option that says “Manage your connection.”

Hi –
Jetpack is built in on WordPress.com sites, including the free site that you’ve listed (joewolkin.wordpress.com). You aren’t able to disconnect it from Jetpack.
WordPress.com themes are mobile responsive by design. Please let us know what the problem is with the mobile view.
– what device and browser are you using?
– take a screen shot and add it to your site’s media library

– does a different browser look any better? -
Hi,
I use iOS. But I checked on Android and it’s not working there as well. I uploaded the screen shot to my media library.

Hi there,
The mobile theme is working fine on https://joewolkin.wordpress.com/. It’s the front page content that isn’t loading.
I’m not sure why it isn’t loading, but there’s also no reason for you to have the mobile them enabled at all on that site, as the Radcliffe theme you’re using is already mobile-friendly. The mobile theme on WordPress.com is only meant to be used with very old themes that aren’t mobile-friendly already.
It’s very likely that the fact you’re using the mobile theme on a site that already has a mobile-friendly theme enabled could be the cause here, so please disable the mobile theme and see if your front page content shows up then. You can disable the mobile theme from here:
https://joewolkin.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=mobile-options
I also recommend that you switch to the updated version of your theme, Radcliffe-2, as the version you currently have enabled on the site has been retired.
