  Hi, I am trying to make an URL for a PDF No longer work. Can you help?

  Hi there,

  To keep things running quickly around here, files are held in multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days and the files will then become 404 page not found.

  IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting public blogs and/or blog content from them does not remove indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it produces a 404 (page not found):

  What is the URL? Does clicking it produce a 404 – page not found error message?

  No it does not product a 404 error message.

  WE posted these as a company, but there are some errors on the document, and we need them removed immediately. I permanently deleted them off of my Media Library.
  Help!

You need to log out, and clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies. https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies Then, without logging in again, using that link will result in this message that I see:

  404 — File not found.

  Weird. I cleared my cache twice, and re-started my computer. Still active on my end. I guess if they are error 404 pages on your end, then I will take your word for it.
