  Please delete my account. I will no longer be using it and haven’t for almost a year now. I only had to sign up for it because it was a school related project. I don’t want any of my personal information out there on the internet, thank you for your time.

  You can delete the blog yourself, or set it to Private, on the Dashboard under Tools. Accounts, however, are not deleteable at WordPress.com.

  There is no recycling of deleted blog URLS here at wordpress.com. Once a blog is deleted – after 3 warnings are given and a vertifcation link sent by email is clicked the URL is gone and cannot be reused.

  Username accounts are not deleted. For more information, please see http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  1. You can go to My Account->Edit Profile and remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This only leaves the username behind.

  2. To unsubscribe from email sent to you from WordPress.com, go here and click on “Block all subscription emails from WordPress.com”:

  3. To ensure the account is locked up tightly, visit this site, generate a password of 15-20 characters, and change the account password to it:
