Please keep in mind that once you choose to DELETE a site, you’ll NEVER be able to re-use its WordPress.com address again. There are several options you can choose from rather than choosing to delete the site permanently.
* Change your site’s address and keep your content

https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#deleting-posts* Empty your site of all its content for a fresh start and continue using the same address

https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account* Make your site private so only people you invite can see it
