Delete my site

    I would like your help with deleting my wordpress site: helenedaim.wordpress.com

    Hello Helene,

    Go to My Sites>Settings, then scroll the page to the bottom. The last entry says ‘Delete My Site’.
    If you’re really sure to delete your site, click the red ‘Delete Site’ button.

    Please note: by hitting the Delete this Site your site will be permanently deleted. Also, the address helenedaim.wordpress.com won’t be unavailable in the future.

    Hello Stefania,

    Thank you so much for your quick reply. I have one more question regarding this. The reason I want to delete this web address is becuase I’d like to make a new one but without .wordpress.com just plane helenedaim.com If I delete this address, will my domain helenedaim.com be available?

    The domain helenedaim.com is already taken and it is in use.
    Once a domain is acquired by someone, there’s no way to take over it unless you buy it when it expires. You can buy other similar domains available, such as helenedaim.net, helenedaim.co.uk etc, but not helenedaim.com.
    The reason is because the domain is a unique address that must point traffic to one direction only.
    Hope I clarified this to you.

    With that said, deleting your actual wordpress.com won’t influence anyway the chances of getting the domain helenedaim.com.

    If you own helenedaim.com, it’s possible to make this domain point to your wordpress.com website. This way, your URL will be appearing without the ‘wordpress.com’ bit, but as I said, you have to own the helenedaim.com.
