Delete old free site, lose my new site?

  I want to take my old free website (mywebsite.wordpress.com) offline. If I delete this old site in my settings on wordpress.com, will my new site (mywebsite.com) remain online and unaffected? I THINK I use GoDaddy for hosting and wordpress.org for a blogging platform (I don’t know if my terminology is correct). Thank you for the assistance!

  Please provide the actual URLs of the sites, indicate exactly which one you wish to delete and tell us exactly which username account registered each site.
