    Hello,

I had a company website but I no longer have this company. I still pay for the domain, but I’m trying to get the site and my outdated personal content out of Google searches. However, my original username.wordpress.com still comes up in Google searches.

Because I’m trying to remove myself from Google searches, I’ve changed my username and display name here.

Under ‘Manage Blogs’ here on WordPress, the blog still comes up. The first word is superior and the second word touching it is ingles (I don’t want to put them together and have this public help post come up, too). So its the first word + second word.wordpress.com. I’ve tried to follow the instructions in other help posts about resetting the blog or emptying/deleting the content, but I keep getting an error message saying my blog is hidden and that I have to make it visible in order to change anything. But even after making it visible, I still get that error message.

The only option that comes up under my ‘Account Settings’ or Dashboard is to delete my entire WordPress account, but I’m worried that doing that won’t solve the problem (i.e., this old blog will still come up on Google searches) and will create an even bigger one (I won’t be able to log in here at all).

Can a WordPress employee delete this blog for me? I don’t need to back up the content. I just want it to be deleted in such a way that keeps its content out of internet searches/indexes. I saw that someone else asked a similar question, and a WordPress employee was able to resolve it for him: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/assistance-requested-deleting-old-blog-from-account/

Thanks in advance for your help.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hello!

If your WordPress site appears on your WordPress.com dashboard, it’s because you linked your site to your WordPress.com account using the Jetpack plugin at some point. However, this connection only allows you to manage certain aspects of your site from the dashboard and doesn’t act as hosting for your site. If the original site is deleted or disconnected, we typically remove that content from your dashboard because the connection is no longer active.

When you visit the domain, it will show as a “parked domain” by GoDaddy. Therefore, I can assist in clearing the connection to that site since the Jetpack site no longer exists.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance!
