Delete one blog, keep another blog
-
Through my muddling getting started on wordpress, I ended up with two blogs with the same name (but different URLs). I have added content to the one I want to keep, but I noticed that clicking my avatar leads to the empty one. I want to delete the empty one, and I’ve seen how to do it through tools>delete blog, but I am worried this will delete BOTH my blogs. How can I make sure only one gets deleted?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It is a permanent thing to delete a blog. There are alternatives listed here if you think there’s any chance at all of you wanting that address in the future.
If you are sure you are in the dashboard for the site you want to delete, then that is the only blog that will be deleted. Any other blogs you have will be fine.
You can set your primary blog under your WordPress.com account settings. That may be why your avatar links to the other blog. -
Thanks Jeff. The weird thing though is that I *do* have the correct one set as my primary, and my avatar still links to the empty one.
Even weirder that is that I had originally set “the blog I need help with” for my empty one, and now in my post I see it’s changed to my content blog. Honestly, I’m not normally dumb about this stuff. There is weirdness happening!

Here’s how to link your username to your Primary blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.
