Delete one of my blogs, not my entire account

    Hello,

    I have two blogs, one that I would like deleted. It’s not my primary blog but when I comment on other blog sites, my name is linked to it. Anyways I was wondering if I went to tools, delete site in the dashboard if it deletes my account or just that one blog?

    You can change the blog that you username is linked to. The change will not be retroactive. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes. Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

    All blogs are independent and deleting one blog registered under the same username account as another blog has no affect on any other blog.

    Provided you are logged in under the Admin username account that registered the blog in question you can delete any blog registered under that username by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

    After you do that if you cannot locate a verification email, look in your email client spam/junk mail filter for the email with the blog deletion verification link in it and click that link. If clicking it does not work then copy and paste the link into your upper browser bar and click.

    Deleted blog URLs are not recycled. If you delete a blog URL it can not be used by you or by anyone else again. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ That is why I suggest you make it private instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

    Thanks very much for the help, I’m going to try this out now.

    Right now the blog I want to delete is private, but I have people requesting access to it, so I think it’s best to delete it.
