Delete other blog URL

  I changed the name of my URL from http://onebananaq.wordpress.com to http://toughbananaproductions.wordpress.com

  I would like to delete the onebananaq and i would like to know how to do this.

  I also have a couple of questions:

  1. if i delete it, will it affect the contents of my new URL?
  2. if i delete it, will it affect my upgrade?

  Onebananaq is currently set on private, but i do not need it since i am updating my my blog through on the new name toughbananaproductions and i want onebananaq to be gone forever.

  I want to delete onebananaq because when i google my blog, the old address always comes up and not the new one which is really annoying and there is nothing there and i don’t get much traffic.

  Please help.

  Your best bet here would be to purchase the site redirect upgrade – it will automatically redirect any visitors from your old site to your new one:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

  Otherwise, you can just delete the blog. Deleting a blog does not effect the other blogs you have. However, keep in mind that if you delete it, you won’t be able to use that address again.

  Thank you ranh for the advise.

  I prefer to lose the old site because it’s just another duplicate of the new one i have right now.
  That site existed because i changed my url address and did not opt to delete it initially because I wasn’t sure if I will still have the content in my blog in my new address.

  but right now, i wish i did.
  when i test to google the new address, the old one keep popping up more, so figured if I ditch the old one, the new site will come up first.
  i apologized for my ignorance, im just starting to learn wordpress…

  you said i should purchase the site re direct upgrade, but i’d like it more if i don’t spend for this.

  So how do i go about deleting that blog?

  You can delete that other blog from Tools > Delete Site in your Dashboard. We have steps on how to do that in our support docs.
