  • Hi there,

I’ve gone ahead and purged the photo from our CDN servers. Please note, it might take up to 24 hours for this change to apply globally.

In the meantime, I recommend clearing your browser’s cache to ensure any local copies of the photo are removed from your devices. This step will help in making sure the photo is completely erased from your end as well.

Should you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hi there,

I unfortunately can still access the photo. Are you sure it is purged?

It’s urgent. I already checked and the original isn’t up anymore.

    Plese help :)

That photo is gone completely. You are seeing the version stored in your browser cache.

A friend of mine can access it too. So it’s not completely gone. Also I deleted my browser history and tried different browsers.

@sofachiller Regarding the concerns about cached images on our servers, I’d like to provide a more detailed explanation of how this feature works within our system to better assist you.

Our Site Accelerator feature caches only resized images, not the original ones. Resized images are identified by additional parameters added to the end of their URLs, such as “?w=683&quality=80&ssl=1” – these are known as resize parameters.

Here’s a simplified breakdown of how the caching process works:

    1. A user attempts to load a resized image in their browser.
    2. Our system receives the request and realizes that it doesn’t have a cached version of that resized image.
    3. It fetches the original image, creates a resized version, caches it, and serves it to the user.
    4. The cached resized image is then saved for future use.

If you provide us with all the links to remove the cache, your images will no longer be stored in our system. However, there is an exception: if someone has saved an image URL with the Site Accelerator domain prefix or if a cached page contains an image URL with the Site Accelerator domain prefix.

It’s important to note that reloading the Site Accelerator-specific URLs (those starting with i0, i1, i2, etc.) to confirm if the images have been removed will trigger the caching process again. Therefore, please avoid reloading those URLs after reaching out to us.

I’ve cleared the cache once again for that image. Please refrain from checking whether the images have been removed based on the above description.

I understand that this may be a lot of information to digest, so please feel free to ask if you have any further questions or concerns.
