Delete post from blog without going to dashboard
-
How about a delete button on posts and comments the same way we have an edit button (when logged in as an admin user) … with an “Are you sure?” confirmation.
I’d find it especially useful in the AMAZING P2 theme. Brilliant theme.
But I’ve sometimes wished I had it in Twenty-Ten and Able as well. So it would be nice to have as a standard feature throughout all themes.
I realize that the edit button takes me to the post opened in dashboard, but I have to go to All Posts to delete it (or go to dashboard via the gray bar) then back to the blog.
Any thoughts on this? An alternative? Am I overlooking something?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you press edit and end up with the post open in the editor, all you have to do is press move to trash which is right next to the update button. I believe that P2 is a unique theme which is why it has this option.

YIPES! It’s been there poking me in the eye for years, and not only in P2! Hah! I sure feel dopey now, and now I know why my eyes hurt so much while blogging.
Thank you very much for your reply, D.
MAYBE it would be nice to have a delete button on the post like the edit button there, but the EXISTING SOLUTION ain’t bad at all, especially since it offers more options, like changing the post’s visibility or status rather than delete it.
Thanks again. So glad to get that stick out of my eye.
