Delete "RECENT POSTS" heading

@rain:
You confused the no-sidebar page template with the no-sidebar theme layout.
When you select one of the two sidebar layouts in Theme Options (that was the layout option originally selected), the max width of the theme is 1000px. If you then select the no-sidebar template or the showcase template for any single page (these are the selected page template options), the sidebar goes from that page but the max-width remains 1000px. If you select the no-sidebar layout in Theme Options, the sidebar goes from the whole blog and the max width becomes 690px.
So: the display wasn’t narrow, it became narrow when foxyoz525 followed your mistaken advice and selected the no sidebar option in Theme Options. And then you want me to give code to override an option? To widen the theme again you just go to Theme Options and select one of the sidebar layouts (and foxyoz525 has already done this).@foxyoz525:
So, since you took care of this, what’s the meaning of your “yes please”?
Once more: The blog front is set to display a static page. That static page is erroneously using the showcase template (which isn’t designed for a “simple” page, it’s designed for a very complex page – as I explain in the post I linked to). The Recent Posts section is part of that complex page. To get rid of that section you go to Pages > All Pages, click Edit under the title of that page, select the default (=no-sidebar) template in the Page Attributes module, click Update. -
