Delete / Redirect “Home” page.
-
As others have lamented, “Home” has hard coded into many themes. Which ones? I don’t know.
There is an official workaround here: http://support.wordpress.com/pages/hide-pages
But all that does is nest the page that the “Home” button goes to under another page.
When I go to that page, it has a link to my “Welcome” page, which, officially (according to the top level nav) doesn’t exist.
So people can click on it and they’ll end up at what looks like “home” but was called “welcome” and this is all very confusing to visitors. How can I either:
A) Kill the “home” button
B) _really_ hide the page “Home” points to?Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot kill the home page tab in the top navigation.
This blog post lists which themes have a home tab and which do not: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/homefrontblog-tab/ .

Ah, very useful information. I guess that would be answer “C” find a theme without this problem! A cornucopia of info there! Thank you!
