It’s a background image

You can select not to display it, but then you need to add white background to the main column of the blog. -

No wonder I’m confused…You are asking about Contempt, while I am looking at the blog in your profile, using Kubrick.
Sorry, I can’t help with that.

As with Kubrick, it’s a background image.

I think it’s called from within the CSS and cannot be changed. I can find and edit it via Firebug, but I don’t see it anywhere in the editable CSS stylesheet. -

Kupp,
Don’t know if you’ll return to this thread, but in case you do, to eliminate the background image you’ll need to change in your “body” definition the “background-color” property from:
background-color:#AAAAAA;to
background: #aaa !important; That will leave a gray background only taking out the image background.

Husdal,
The reason you can’t change it is because it’s been loaded in the markup, like this:
<body style="background-image: url(http://s1.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/pub/contempt/images/blue_flower/bg.jpg); background-attachment:fixed; background-repeat: repeat-y; background-position: top center;">which is lame…

The more customization I do on blogs with all sorts of different themes, the more I find that is lame – especially, typically, anything coming from a theme mill. They make one theme and the make minor modification to it and call them different names and any “lame” in the original design carries over to all the other themes.
