Delete site

  I wish to delete the site as I no longer have a need for it, however there is not a ‘delete site’ button in my tools menu. I am logged in correctly and there is only one site, no hidden blogs. Pls advise how I can delete the site and cancel the free account. Thanks.

  Sorry but you are in the wrong place. These forums are only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com and you should ask in the WordPress.org forums: http://wordpress.org/support/.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/.

  You can refer following link for deleting your site:-
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  and cancel the free account

  You can’t delete WordPress account if that’s what you mean. Though you can follow these instructions which will serve the purpose.

  Please note once you delete your site, you won’t be able to retrieve it’s content or have same site address in future.
