Delete Site

Hello – I want to delete my wordpress.com site, but it says I still have premium upgrades active. I have cancelled my premium plan and domain mapping (I have since transferred my domain to another site) and the only thing left in purchases is a premium theme I bought. However, when I try to delete my site, it still mentions the premium upgrades and I cannot proceed. Can you help? Thanks.

Hi there,
You can’t delete your site because of Premium themes that you purchased. You can’t remove Premium themes. Premium themes can be removed by staff only or needs to be transferred to some other domain.
Either you transfer your purchased theme to other domain or add modllook tag in sidebar to get staff assistance.
Staff will remove the themes for you and then you can delete your site.Hope this helps!

No. There is no other way to get staff assistance if you have free plan.
– For free plan users you have community forum.
– For users with Personal, Premium and Business plan, WordPress.com provides Email and Live Chat support.Wait for sometime. Staff will definitely resolve your query.

That system is slightly annoying as I had a premium plan, but cancelled it wishing to delete my site and it’s just the theme that’s needs to be removed!
I will wait and hopefully hear from them soon.

Hi there,
I can remove the theme for you, but you own the theme indefinitely – so I would recommend you to set your site to private in case you ever want to use the theme again for another site.
Otherwise, I’d be happy to remove the theme for you so you can proceed with the deletion of the site.
